TESTIMONIALS FROM PARTICIPANTS

I highly recommend this course if you want to challenge your perceptions of creativity. The course enables you to think creatively about ideas and most importantly how to move from the idea phase to solution phase. Expect to put in some hours every week. The results you will get out from it the end is really rewarding.

Participant in the Developing Your Creativity course

This course was very good for me, to develop my creativity, to a more conscious and authentic form of expression.

Heidi

Participant in the Developing Your Creativity course

I really enjoyed the workshop that Agnieszka organized. It was well structured and enabled all the participants to think in a novel and creative way. It pushed us all beyond what we were used to and resulted in some powerful brainstorming and idea-refining sessions. (Visual Thinking workshop)

Dr John Danaher, Researcher at NUI Galway (Ireland)

Agnieszka helped me refine my usual creative methods and introduced me to new ones that enabled me to visualise my creative process in novel, exciting, and energising ways. She put so considerable time and expertise into not only preparing a workshop that focused on our own individual needs, but curated the whole process to our peculiar ways of working. Andrew Mazibrada, Researcher at the University of Copenhagen

Through the course of the workshop, Agnieszka led us in a series of group exercises that were enormously creative, productive, and just really fun. Her program was both tailored to our needs, but also flexible as those needs and focus evolved throughout the workshop.

Matthijs Maas, Researcher at KU

Hi Agnieszka,
Thanks again for the course. It was really useful and has finally pushed me to do something I'd been wanting to do for a while.

I also really enjoyed the pecha kucha inspired presentation and plan to incorporate that style in to my presentations.
Good luck with everything and hope to cross paths again soon!

An email from a participant in the Developing Your Creativity Course, 2017

Hi Agnieszka,

Thanks a bunch for arranging such a fun and inspiring event. It is probably the most fun event I have joined so far at Internations. So hope you will host similar events in future.

So you know, [...], I've been to one of those seminars and it was great! Agnieszka sure knows how to break the ice and create a relaxing and friendly atmosphere... ;) Something to think about... if not for this one, then for one of her next seminars... It's worth it!

Thanks Agnieszka for having organised such an amazing workshop and having made it so interesting and engaging!

A great community event because it is interactive. I also liked that we had first an individual assignment then a group effort and then each individual went in front of others to create visuals.

Participant in a Visual Game

Agi - thanks so much for creating a creative and open experience for us on Friday. I really enjoyed the discussions that ended up happening as a result of the interesting questions, willingness to share, and great facilitation. These experience don't happen enough in my opinion

Very positive. It has been fascinating to interact with people with different backgrounds and listen to variegated perspectives.

Participant in a Visual Game

It was a good experience overall. Lot of learning about different cultures and communicating things through drawings took the communication to new level.

Participant in a Visual Game

I enjoyed doing something different and expressing myself visually, in addition to verbally. I also enjoyed the interaction with other people on a ‘pick into the other person's mind’ level.

Participant in a Visual Game

New way of approach to meeting people socially and it makes you think deeper into your own culture and background. It was enjoyable.

Participant in a Visual Game

Good overall, especially to connect the visual concept with reality of the culture and social problems

Participant in a Visual Game

It is a nice way of expressing oneself and helpful to remember things and ideas.

Participant in a Visual Game

I enjoyed it very much it helps see oneself and see others in a different light.

Participant in a Visual Game

It is an amazing tool to bring people together and it might be explored even further.

Participant in a Visual Game

The session was really useful to confirm some things we had already thought and also really important to help us to see some points of weakness that we still have to resolve in our concept. The fact of 'painting what we were thinking' was really interesting and also a good way to help others to understand what we are trying to explain.

Edoardo and Marcus (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

It was useful to brainstorm ideas about the project and to understand what our purpose really was.

Paola and Maria (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

Drawing is more instinctive, it allows you to quickly represent what you have in mind.

Ylenia and Mario (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

It was really nice. I always enjoyed painting, but I never thought about using it in the way we use it during the session. Maybe before starting painting our diagram, it would be nice doing something just with the paint and brushes to get more familiarized with the materials and the instruments. I think this would help to get better results.

Edoardo and Marcus (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

The session opened our eyes to a number of things which hadn't crossed our mind prior to our meeting. Instead of only thinking from an architect's point of view, the session challenged us to think of how people in the area would actually respond to certain strategies and design choices.

Giada and Mark (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

Very useful to reflect on some points that we had overlooked.

Giulia, Sara, Alessandro, Marco, Grace (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

I think it was a very interesting chat because the method of approach is very different from what I have been facing in recent years. Of course, I think that having only two hours it was not possible to fully develop the idea of the project.

Anna, Caterina, Ilaria (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

I think that the use of colors is very important to define an idea or more, even if you are not a professional painter you can immediately visualize what you’re thinking about, and then change it as you prefer.

Paola and Maria (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

It was useful to rethink our project starting from a different point of view and to check if the choices we were about to make were the right ones.

Edoardo and Marcus (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

It was very helpful, it allowed me to see the project from a different point of view, allowing me to interrogate myself on some issues that are fundamental to the way I design, so as to get in the game and integrate some important aspects to enrich the quality of the project.

Emanuele, Giovanni and Micol (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

The advantages are those of a greater freedom of expression and creativity. A more intense relationship with colleagues. The disadvantages are relative. More 'travel' with your mind and you have clarity on the project in all its creative and architectural aspects, so you will be representing it with more clarity and fluidity. On the contrary, if it does not have enough depth, you will not be able to paint anything effective.

Emanuele, Giovanni and Micol (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

The experience was interesting because it led us to reflect on the true needs for the area involved and brought us to deal among us.

Anna, Caterina, Ilaria (participants in a Visual Planning workshop)

Communicating architecture is not easy. Sometimes what is clear in your mind, is not so evident to other people. Words aren't visual, so the most immediate way to make someone else understand your idea is the painting.
